World Cup 2014: Indomitable Lions to get N16.64m each

Cameroon’s Foot-ball Federation and the country’s government have agreed to pay FCFA 50m (US$104,000) to each player in the final 23-man World Cup squad.

The figure was arrived at after lengthy negotiations but falls short of the FCFA 80m-100m ($166,000-207,000) reportedly sought by the players.

It is, however, a raise of FCFA 5m from the amount paid at the previous World Cup in south Africa in 2010.

There was fracas at the Unity Fountain in Abuja Wednesday where a coalition of women groups under the umbrella of #Bringbackourgirls” have been protesting against the abduction of over 200 school girls from Chibok in Borno State since last Month.

Vanguard learnt that the fracas occurred as a result of rivalry between the #Bringbackourgirls group and a new group named “#ReleaseOurGirlsNow”. Members of #Bringbackourgirls have been involved in the protest which has already gained global attention since it commenced several weeks ago.

Unconfirmed sources told Vanguard that the clash was serious necessitating the invitation of the the police.

THE abduction of 276 school girls by the Nigerian Islamist insurgency group, Boko Haram on April 15 in Chibok, Borno State, appears to have become the turning point in their savage campaigns of murder and destruction. The terrorists overplayed their hands when their leader, “Abubakar Shekau” boasted he would “sell” the girls into slavery, even after media reports had it that some of them have been “married” by the insurgents in their hideout.

Barely a few days later, major world powers, including the USA, UK, China, France and others offered to assist in the effort to rescue the girls and bring the Boko Haram menace to an end. British Prime Minister, David Cameron, while outlining the extent of his country’s involvement, described the abduction of the girls as “pure evil”, saying the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria has assumed a global threat. President Barack Obama of the US had earlier pledged to send some troops, technical experts and law enforcement teams skilled in intelligence gathering, information sharing, investigations and victims assistance. China, through Prime Minister Li Keqian, expressed his country’s determination to join the rescue effort and secure the territorial integrity of Nigeria.

We welcome this show of support for Nigeria by the entire people of the world. We appreciate the offer to assist in the rescue mission and ultimately the elimination of the threats to our nation by the insurgents. It is a great insult and dehumanisation of the mankind family for an outlaw group to brazenly threaten to “sell” schoolgirls into slavery even after forcing them to become sex slaves in the jungle, in this modern era, long after the abolition of slavery. It is a serious affront to our collective sensibilities.

It is a pity that the insurgency, which started as a rag-tag affair in 2009, has been handled so sloppily, with political considerations taking precedence over the duties of government to protect the lives and property of all Nigerians. Our political leaders failed in their duties. They chose to cling to power or seek to take over power by all means rather than taking on threat head-on, thus allowing a minor infection to become a life-threatening affliction.

The world needs to understand that the Islamists see the North East of Nigeria as a fertile ground to plant their dream Sahelistan Caliphate. They are mustering fighters from sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. They have even acquired armoured tanks, with which they sacked Gamboru Ngala within the past week.

We must cooperate with our foreign allies and tap form their wealth of experience and technology, putting aside our differences and leading the way in the deployment of troops to bring this menace to an early end.

“The person who has no excuse is the president of the nation.” He also referred to Shekau’s video as a “charade” and “gleeful obscenity” the Nobel laureate added.

At least 300 people were confirmed dead on Monday when Boko Haram gunmen in armoured vehicles stormed Gamborou Ngala town in Borno state.

According source the security forces earlier deployed to area, moved to the Lake Chad axis when they receivedintelligence report that some gunmen were sighted with abducted schoolgirls moving to the area.
The insurgents targetted a local market and fired sporadic shots into the crowd before proceeding into the town to wreak more havoc.

Gamborou, which is situated along Nigeria-Cameroon border is the administrative headquatres of Ngala local government of the state, about 200km from Maiduguri, the capital city.
Senator Ahmed Zannah, who is from the area confirmed the killings, said the invaders spent 12 hours wreaking havoc on defenceless civilians.
He said several other persons were also injured in the attack, while almost all the houses and shops in the town were burnt down.

Senator zannah, who spoke in a BBC Hausa report monitored in Maiduguri yesterday said many people were wounded, while surviving victims rendered homeless as thousands of houses and shops were burnt by the rampaging gunmen. He pointed out that the attackers were armed with dangerous weapons comprising of Armored Personnel Carries , (APC), Improvised Explosive Devices, (IEDs), petrol bombs, assault rifles and Rocket Propelled Launchers (RPGs).

“The attackers stormed the communities in the night when residents were still sleeping, setting ablaze houses, shops and residents who tried to escaped from the fire, were shot ” Shehu said. He added also that “ About 300 persons were confirmed dead after the incident, with several others injured. Almost all the houses in the communities were destroyed by the hoodlums who threw Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at the buidings.

My brother who was at the scene of the attack told me that the actual number of the dead cannot be ascertained but at least they are upto 300. In fact as we spoke he wept following the high number of the dead bodies which littered the market”, he declared.

According to him, the security forces earlier deployed to area, moved to the Lake Chad axis when they received intelligence report that some gunmen were sighted with abducted schoolgirls moving to the area.

“Initially there were many security operatives in the town to secure it from possible attacks. However upon receiving information over the movements of insurgents with kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls towards Lake Chad area,they withdraw and moved further to confront the gunmen. It was just an hour after their withdrawal that the terrorists indaved the town, shooting everyone at sight and setting buildings on fire. So far 200 vehicles and thousands of houses, shops and an outfit of the Nigerian Customs Service, (NCS) were all burnt”, he explained.

A local government official who declined identification also confirmed the casualty figures. “It is really a terrible situation, we had wanted to rush relief materials to the area to provide temporary succor to the victims. But we were prevailed upon by security agents to shelve our plans on security reasons”. The official appealed to the state and Federal Governmenst to assist the area with resources towards rehabilitating the victims.

I never put much credence in the things people say though, and from what I could tell from looking at people’s actual relationships, sex seemed to be all-important.

In fact, it seemed to be THE most important thing there was.

A woman could HATE a guy… but if he gave her incredible sex, she’d keep coming back for more.

Or, she might think a guy was the most wonderful fellow in the world… but if he couldn’t perform, she’d soon be gone, off in the arms of another man who could.

So, I studied. I needed to be not just good at sex, but incredible at it, as soon as I got going.

I wanted to land on my feet as quickly as possible.

I learned how to give women orgasms manually, orally, and anally. I learned these so well, in fact, that the first time I ever gave a girl oral sex, she orgasmed quickly, and angrily called me a liar for telling her I was inexperienced. She never believed me that I’d never done it before, and never really trusted me after that “lie.” I told her I’d just watched a video on giving oral sex; she told me no one gets that good from watching a video.

But most of all, I studied how to give women orgasms vaginally.

The stuff I was reading about the “G-spot” was a bit too complicated for me… I couldn’t really figure out where it was or what to do with it (in fact, I’ve never really sat down to figure this out… Ricardus talks about it fairly in-depth in his article on how to be a good lover, though, and it does seem to be pretty useful).

I eventually decided that, based on everything I’d studied and read, these were the fundamentals of sex:

Passion is key. Sex is every bit as much a mental and emotional experience as it is a physical one. Women had the most exciting, fulfilling experiences with passionate men… and by nature, I am one of the most dispassionate individuals you will meet. I knew I needed to simulate passion, and eventually learn it for real.
Physical contact is best maximized. Another thing I suspected was extremely important was maximizing physical contact – getting your skin contacting as much of her skin as possible. This makes the sex much more personal, and much less clinical, and increases the release of pleasure and bonding hormones that occurs with skin contact between a man and a woman.
You need both clitoral and vaginal stimulation. What I was reading again and again and again was that women wished more men would stimulate their clitoris during sex, and so many men were ignorant of this. Yet, the clitoris was outside and above the vagina… and I didn’t want to be just using my hand or my mouth, because
Penetrative sex is REAL sex. Just like she’s not really your girlfriend if you’re not having sex with her, it’s not really sex if your penis isn’t in her. Women know this, and while they enjoy men who give them orgasms with other parts of their bodies – tongues, fingers, hands, sex toys – these men aren’t real men the way men who make women cum with their penises are. If you want to maintain a woman’s respect and attraction at the uppermost levels – and in my mind, that’s the #1 reason to bother giving her orgasms at all in the first place – you need to be making her cum with your penis, not your tongue / fingers.
Rhythm is non-negotiable. Hidden deep within the tomes I was reading on sex, I discovered an emphasis on rhythm that seemed largely devoid from much of the lighter and more mainstream sex advice stuff I perused. Rhythm was why women found men who danced well sexy and suspected they’d be good in bed – and it was also why once a girl went black she didn’t go back. Black men – on average – had rhythm; white men – on average – did not. I further learned that women enter a trance-like state during good, rhythmic sex, that is necessary for and precedes orgasm. The men shifting around and thrusting arrhythmically prevent women from ever entering this trance – and prevent them from ever climaxing, too.
Dominance is mandatory. Women want to be taken… not asked. I learned that asking her, “Is this okay?” or, “Was that good for you?” are big no-nos that make you seem inexperienced and like you don’t know what you’re doing. A woman wants to feel like you know her body better than she does, and know what’s best for her better than she does… she wants to be able to just relax, enjoy the ride, and let you do what you know how to do so well without having to worry or think about anything other than how good it feels and how good you are. You must know what you’re doing, and tell her what to do / move her around dominantly and confidently and self-assuredly.

There were other things I found that were useful and important, like using your voice during sex, and doing things like gripping and pulling her hair (when behind her), smacking her butt, etc.

I also read about how important foreplay was – but I didn’t consider that a fundamental, because my belief was that if you’re incredible at penetrative sex, once you get there she’ll be having so much pleasure she’s not going to care if you didn’t tease her for 15 minutes first.

I do use foreplay – sometimes – if I want to build up a girl’s anticipation and get her cumming faster and harder than she would without it.

But it’s certainly not mandatory. If you know what you’re doing in bed, you can go in with no foreplay and still have her cumming hard in minutes.

The foster mother of former military President, General Ibrahim Babangida,Hajiya Sefiya Hassan Akere is dead.She died on Thursday at the age of 101 after a brief illness.

Another explosion similar to the type that happened in Jos Terminus market last Tuesday has been reported in the Plateau State capital.The heavy sound of the blast was heard at about 9:15pm Saturday night.
