Dame Patience Jonathan, first lady and by virtue of that position, the mother of the nation, could no longer bear the anguish of the missing school girls from Chibok in Borno state.
The ever-cheerful and vocal first lady, whom many have been wondering why nothing has been heard from since the unfortunate incident, could not hold back her emotions as a mother when she shed heart-touching tears while questioning the principal of the Federal Girl’s Secondary school from where 234 girls were kidnapped on April 14,2014 at the presidential villa, Abuja for security requirements and measures put in place by the school to protect the innocent students.
Mama Nigeria, was visibly angered by the failure of the school authority in providing adequate security and contingency plan for the girls. She did not hide her disgust in lamenting several times that,”God is watching us” before letting the motherly tears, not the kind you see in Nollywood films escape her eyes.
We hope that not only will these girls be found and brought back to their families and love ones, they would be found alive and Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan will have a cause to throw a huge welcome back home party for the traumatised girls and a worried nation.
